The mission of the Oklahoma Securities Commission is investor protection through the administration and enforcement of the Oklahoma Uniform Securities Act of 2004 (OUSA of 2004), an act prohibiting fraud in securities transactions and requiring the registration of broker-dealers, agents, investment advisers and investment adviser representatives and the registration of securities.
The Oklahoma Securities Commission is the branch of state government responsible for enforcing Oklahoma’s securities laws. The Commission also funds an investor education initiative called Invest Ed®. The primary purpose of Invest Ed® is to educate investors about securities fraud before it occurs.
